The men and women of the Sparks Police are dedicated to serving the Sparks community with honor, pride and privilege. Together, we make up the Sparks Police. Sworn officers and civilian employees alike are committed to serving our residents, visitors and businesses within the City of Sparks. We strive to provide quality professional service at all levels of the organization giving respect to all and acting with integrity. We know and understand that we must be accountable to community in which we serve. Your Sparks Police is committed to being the leaders in building a strong, safe community.
The Sparks Police Department has joined the 30×30 Pledge, a coalition of police leaders, researchers, and professional organizations across the United States who have joined together to advance the representation and experiences of women in policing. The 30×30 Initiative is affiliated with the Policing Project at NYU School of Law and the National Association of Women Law Enforcement Executives (NAWLEE). The goal of the 30×30 Initiative is to reach 30 percent of women in police recruit classes by 2030, and to ensure policing agencies are truly representative of the jurisdiction they serve. While 30×30 is focused on advancing women in policing, these principles are applicable to all demographic diversity, not just gender. “We are honored to be among the first in the nation to make this critical commitment…” Chief Chris Crawforth.
