The Patrol Section is comprised of sworn police officers, an Administrative Secretary, and a Police Assistant (Garage Liaison). The Patrol section has six patrol shifts, each commanded by a Lieutenant Watch Commander.  The Patrol section is the department’s primary presence within the city.  It is the element most responsible for crime prevention, law enforcement, protection of life and property, apprehension of criminals, enforcement at special events, preservation of the peace, and response to calls for service by the department.
